"N'e-W' Learning"

Over & over goes the alarm on snooze,

As the children listlessly ooze.

Alma mater have their doors shut,

Conditions will improve says our gut;

Don't know when it'll but !

Glaring screens and flashing eyes,

Students being captivated in hi-tech ties.

Hours and hours of screening time,

Gone are the days when friends could lime.

Pedagogy never had walls,

In the time of crisis it manages to evolve.

Nagging and answering came back to life,

As the online classes became alive.

Off the beaten track: a place of fireflies and pure supplies,

Kids ambling in the fields of rice;

Smirking and elbowing as they run to catch the flies.

Devoid from all the technical gizmos

Enduring heavy learning loss.

Pathshalas and masterjis they miss,

This lopsided lucks make me piss !

Will anyone ever hear their voice ?

How will teachings poise ?

For sure, e-learning has potential untapped,

But remote areas still are to be mapped.

Digital initiatives are needed to be strengthen.

Poor infrastructure & lack of strong internet connectivity;

Ought some immediate remedies.

Afterall, effective education is indeed constant,

How long will we remain ignorant?
